asked questions
Have questions about hot tub or pool service? Here are answers to some of the most common questions we get. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to reach out.
How much does hot tub repair cost?
Hot tub repair costs vary depending on the problem, but most common repairs fall between $150 and $600. Simple fixes like a faulty sensor, thermostat replacement, or minor leak repair are on the lower end. Pump motor replacements, heater element failures, and control board issues typically run higher.
Prestige Spa diagnoses before quoting — you'll know the exact cost before any work begins. Call (509) 304-2423 to schedule a diagnostic visit.
How long does a hot tub repair take?
Most hot tub repairs are completed in a single visit, typically 1 to 3 hours depending on the issue. We stock parts for the most common failures — heater elements, pump seals, sensors, and jets — so we're not waiting on a parts order to finish the job.
More complex repairs involving control board replacement or significant plumbing work may require a follow-up visit. We'll give you a realistic timeline after the diagnostic.
Do you repair all hot tub brands?
Yes. Prestige Spa services all major hot tub brands, including Marquis, Jacuzzi, Hot Spring, Sundance, Caldera, Bullfrog, and others. Our technicians are experienced with a wide range of makes and models across different production years.
If you're unsure whether we service your brand, call us at (509) 304-2423 and we'll confirm before scheduling.
What are the most common hot tub problems?
The most common hot tub problems we repair in Central Washington include:
- Heater failures — the hot tub runs but won't reach or hold temperature
- Pump issues — weak jet pressure, loud motor noise, or a pump that won't prime
- Leaks — water loss at fittings, jets, or the equipment compartment
- Error codes — FLO, OH, DR, or other codes displayed on the topside control
- Tripped breakers — the hot tub repeatedly loses power
- Jet problems — jets not spinning, no pressure, or air lock in the lines
If you're seeing any of these, call (509) 304-2423 to schedule a diagnostic.
Should I repair my hot tub or replace it?
In most cases, repairing is the right call — especially if your hot tub is under 10 to 12 years old and the repair cost is under 30 to 40 percent of a replacement unit. Hot tubs are built to last 15 to 20 years with proper care, so a $300 repair on a well-maintained 7-year-old unit is almost always worth it.
Replacement makes more sense when the shell is cracked, multiple major components have failed at once, or the unit is older and parts are becoming difficult to source.
Prestige Spa will give you an honest assessment after the diagnostic. We also carry Marquis hot tubs at our Ellensburg showroom if replacement turns out to be the better path. Call (509) 304-2423 to talk it through.
